  • Define system boundaries and support systemization, mechanical completion and turnover activities.
  • Prepare and execute commissioning procedures, inspection plans, test sheets and commissioning records.
  • Coordinate and supervise cleaning, flushing, air blowing, steam blowing, leak testing and other pre-commissioning activities.
  • Perform equipment inspections, functional testing, initial energization and start-up of mechanical and process systems.
  • Support the commissioning of HRSGs, steam and condensate systems, cooling-water systems, fuel-gas systems, compressed air, chemical dosing, water treatment and other balance-of-plant systems.
  • Coordinate activities with construction, engineering, vendors, operations and other commissioning disciplines.
  • Identify technical problems, lead troubleshooting activities and follow outstanding items through resolution.
  • Manage punch lists and verify that systems are safe and ready for operation.
  • Support plant start-up, operational optimization, reliability runs and performance testing.
  • Ensure all activities comply with approved procedures, permit-to-work requirements and project HSE standards.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical, Process, Chemical or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least seven years of relevant experience in power-generation projects, including substantial commissioning and start-up experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in combined-cycle power plants.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment and power-plant process systems.

  • Practical experience with mechanical completion, turnover, commissioning documentation and punch-list management.
  • Strong troubleshooting, coordination and technical-reporting capabilities.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Availability for international assignments and site-based rotation schedules.

Preferred Experience

  • Commissioning experience with gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSGs and associated balance-of-plant systems.
  • Experience with steam blowing, chemical cleaning, flushing and plant water chemistry.
  • Familiarity with DCS interfaces, control logic, interlocks and functional testing.
  • Previous experience working within multidisciplinary international project teams.
