INERCHEM is seeking an experienced Electrical & I&C Engineer to support international power and water projects from design review and installation verification through energisation, loop checks, functional testing, start-up and reliable operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Review single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, instrument indexes, logic diagrams and control narratives.
- Verify installation, termination, calibration and readiness of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Prepare and execute inspection plans, loop-check packages, energisation procedures and functional tests.
- Coordinate energisation of switchgear, transformers, MCCs, UPS systems, motors and associated protection systems.
- Execute instrument calibration verification, loop checks, cause-and-effect tests and interlock validation.
- Support DCS, PLC, ESD and package-control-system integration and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate activities with construction, vendors, operations and other commissioning disciplines.
- Manage punch lists, technical queries and corrective actions through closure.
- Support plant start-up, reliability runs and performance testing.
- Ensure compliance with LOTO, permit-to-work and project HSE requirements.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, Control or a related engineering discipline.
- At least seven years of relevant experience, including substantial commissioning and start-up work.
- Experience in power-generation, desalination or major industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, protection, instrumentation and control systems.
- Practical experience with loop checks, functional testing, energisation and commissioning documentation.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, logic diagrams, P&IDs and control narratives.
- Strong troubleshooting, coordination and technical-reporting capabilities.
- Professional working proficiency in English and availability for international site assignments.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with combined-cycle power plants or large desalination facilities.
- Familiarity with major DCS and PLC platforms and package-control interfaces.
- Experience with protection relays, VFDs, analysers and field instrumentation.
- Previous work within multidisciplinary international commissioning teams.
